How do I move my progress to a new phone?

On the old phone, save the file with Settings → 💾 Archive Vault (Data & Backup) → Back Up Progress (Files, Drive, email…). On the new phone, choose that file with "Restore from Backup" in the same place.

How do I change the language I'm learning?

Settings → 📘 Learning Gears → Learning Language. Progress is kept separately for each language pair, so you continue where you left off when you switch back.

Words aren't read aloud.

Run Settings → 🔊 Sound & Display Dial → Sound Test. In your phone's settings, check that a text-to-speech engine and the voice data for the language you're learning are installed and that media volume is up. On iPhone, check the silent switch.

I don't get reminder notifications.

Pick a time in Settings → 🔔 Clock Tower Bells (Notifications) → Daily Reminder and check that your phone allows notifications for the app. If you've already finished the day's lesson, no reminder is sent.

Why do the games look locked?

The games ask about words you've learned in lessons. They open once you finish your first lesson; a few games (Build a Sentence, Trap Hunt) open after a few more lessons.

Why does the look change between day, dusk and night?

The app follows your phone's clock. To stop the moving decorations, use Settings → 🔊 Sound & Display Dial → Reduce Motion.

I want to start over.

Settings → 💾 Archive Vault (Data & Backup) → Reset Progress. If you did it by mistake, "Revert to Previous Copy" in the same place undoes it.
